Job Function:
- The position is for project management of current and next generation interventional medical device product development at Avantec Vascular Corporation.
Description:
- Lead all processes and activities related to the development of medical device products and the underlying technology from a project team management perspective:
- Lead a cross-functional teams
- Develop integrated project plans (Feasibility Study/Project Proposals)
- Define project goals, objectives, and metrics.
- Identify the necessary resources to execute the projects.
- Manage technical and project risks.
- Communicate with all levels of management and throughout the organization.
- Lead activities to resolve issues and reach effective decisions in a timely manner.
- Drive execution of project deliverables, ensuring that the products and project deliverables meet schedule and standards of product quality.
- Energize co-workers, promote teamwork, and dedicate to high standards engineering development and product quality, and make sound business decisions at a project level in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Responsible for initiating and maintaining collaborations with academic/industrial/physician/user experts as well as team members from variety of departments.
Training, Experience, Education, and Skills Required:
- BA/BS degree (science/engineering field preferred) with 3 years’ experience in technical project management field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification a plus
- Direct experience in vascular interventional product development project/program management a plus
- Project Management across various product development life cycles required.
- Experienced with design control systems related to interventional medical device product development life cycle.
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, commitment to technical excellence, quality, and project timeline.
- Effective written, verbal, interpersonal communication and time/schedule management skills required.
- Experience in developing products requiring regulatory approvals preferred.
- Experience with Project management software required to manage cost, schedule, and resources required.
